Panama City Winery

Has anyone been to the winery? Is it worth the trip? Do you pay to sample all of the wines? Is there a tour? I am full of questions, but I don%26#39;t want to waste my time if it is not worth the trip. Any information anyone can give me will be a great help!

Panama City Winery

We too are interested in the winery. There was someone going in May that was going to let me know about how it was(that%26#39;s if she went to the winery)

Still have not heard about it.

We are going the first week of August and will check it out. If you are there before us let me know how it was. I just want to buy a few bottles of wine.

I%26#39;ve not had their wines, but it looks like everything%26#39;s made from citrus and berries -- thus their wines will be very sweet.

The only grapes that grow well in Florida%26#39;s climate are Scuppernong and Muscadine -- both of which are best suited to dessert wines.

You%26#39;ll have to let me know. We aren%26#39;t going until the last week in August. I just want to know if it is worth the trip - there isn%26#39;t a lot of information on it, at least not that I have found. Let me know!

I am not a wine drinker, but went with my sisters in April. We first went to a winery about an hour west of pcb and then 2 that were in pcb. Pamana City Beach winery was the favorite of the ones in our group. It was also an intereting presentation. You do not pay for wine tasting. My sister in law from Oregon love the citrus wines so much she bought 6 to ship back. She told me she has since ordered more.

We just returned from a trip to check on our rental condo in PCB and took friends with us. We had visited the Sea Breeze winery on Middle Beach Road (Hutchinson) several times before. They offer free wine tastings daily, 7 days a week, from 9 am to 5 pm. All of their offerings are muscadine wines except a blackberry (very good) , a blueberry, a port and a sherry. You get to taste all of their selections. They start with the dry wines and progress to the sweet wines. Bottles of the muscadine are $9.99, blackberry and blueberry are a little more, and their port and sherry run under $20. It%26#39;s always a lot of fun! We also went to the Panama City Beach Winery in St. Thomas Square shopping center at the corner of Thomas and Joan Ave. They have a website at www.pcbwinery.com. The owners there are very friendly. They gave backgrounds of the wines that we sampled. Because they offer 30 wines for tasting, they ask that each participant choose 4 from their list. It is free. We each chose 4. Thinking that we would have to share from our glasses with the others, we chose different wines. To our surprise, we each got a sampling from each of the sixteen wines plus slushies of 4 different varieties. We were feeling pretty good when we left there too!!! These wines are pricier, running from $15.99 to $22.99 for some of their best sellers. There is a strawberry cream sherry that sells for $32.99. They advertise citrus, fruit %26amp; berry wines. Some of the unusual selections are: carrot, chocolate, coconut, cranberry, grapefruit, guava, key lime, mango, orange, passion fruit, peach, pineapple, tangelo, tangerine, tomato, and watermelon. There are dry, semi-sweet and sweet selections scattered among the different samplings. Go and have fun...you can%26#39;t lose, it%26#39;s free!!!!

We loved the citrus winery and would highly recommend going there for wine tasting.
