Shopping in Naples

My wife and I are going to be in Naples for one day in September. We are having lunch at Tommy Bahamas on 3rd Street, and I would like to take her shopping in Naples afterwards ... and I am looking for some insider tips/guidance on the shopping scene in Naples. Here is the background info ...

She enjoys home/interior decoration, arts %26amp; crafts, and ';knick-knacks'; type shops. We do have several ';beach themed'; room in our house (more East Coast/Cape Cod than FLA). Her clothing tastes/style is Ann Taylor Loft (?), active/athletic wear (tennis outfits), and casual. She also loves bookstores, ';fun stores,'; stuff for the kids (who will not be with us), and chocolate. And of course, everything is all the better if she can find a ';steal'; or ';good deal'; on such things.

Given a limited amount of time (2-3 hours), the location of our lunch (Tommy Bahamas), and those particular interests, could a ';Naples insider'; please give me some direction/recommendations on specific areas/shops that she would enjoy?

Thanks.

Shopping in Naples

QCB,

you seem to be in the right place already when you are at Tommy Bahamas on Third Street. They have lots of upscale shops there and on adjacent Fifth Avenue South. Third Street used to have a concierge service on the street. I don%26#39;t know at what times their kiosk is manned though.

Fifth Ave has its own website www.fifthavenuesouth.com with links to all its shops, restaurants and bars. I have also seen something similar about 3rd Street. I believe you will find the website if you google ';olde naples'; or ';old Naples'; and you will come up with a website about downtown, including 3rd street, Grayton Cove and Riverwalk.

PS to previous: Both 3rd Street and Fifth Avenue are pedestrian friendly. You may want to keep your car parked when you have finished lunch and just walk around.

The website for the 3rd street area is www.thirdstreetsouth.com

Third Street and Fifth Avenue are the ';upscale'; shopping areas, and are nice. For lower priced ';fun stores'; try nearby Tin City and the Boardwalk.

Thanks everyone for the insider info ... and the Third Street South website ... very helpful. Thanks.
