Busch Gardens Cold in January?

I%26#39;d like to go to Busch Gardens Tampa in January 2008 for my birthday. It will be two grownups only. I%26#39;m looking at the weekend around MLK Jr. Birthday or the 3rd week of January. Does anyone have any idea if it%26#39;s chilly around that time? Is this a good/bad time to visit Busch Gardens? Thanks in advance for your feedback.

Busch Gardens Cold in January?

That is a holida weekend so it may be a little busy around the holiday, temps in january can be as chilly as in the 50%26#39;s/60%26#39;s in the day, but typically around 70. At night, it can get into the 30%26#39;s/40%26#39;s, but typically around 50. Janaury is the coolest month in Tampa.

The way the weather has been the past few years, I wouldn%26#39;t even hazard a guess how it will be in January 2008. Ask again about two weeks before you leave, then I might be able to tell you.

If it is anything to go by, usually we only get two or three mornings when the temperature will go below freezing. Once it is daylight, the temps. start coming up and could well be shorts weather in the daytime. And, of course, nothing like Maryland at that time of year.

As for the crowds, if it is sunny and a holiday weekend, lots of locals will probably at BG.

What Chuts said.

You%26#39;re just as likely to be wearing shorts and a teeshirt as you are to be wearing jeans and a coat.

Crowdwise you should be in pretty good shape -- Hillsborough County schools are no longer on holiday on MLK.

And just in case you%26#39;re interested, trinigirlmd, there%26#39;s a roti shop right next to the BG compound on its West side.

Odds are the weather will be fabulous, possibly brisk by our standards, but at any rate it will be delightful compared to Maryland in January.

Thanks all. I think we%26#39;ll go for it in January Chuts -- interesting you made that connection to roti and the Trinigirl in my name. I will be visiting that roti shop of course!
