Childfriendly & quiet hotel or B&B

Hello!

Can someone suggest a nice, quiet, small and not-a-cookie-cutter hotel or B%26amp;B in Key West that is also child-friendly (3 y.o.)?

We%26#39;d love to be right on the beach but it is not critical.

Also, what is the best time to visit? i.e. less crowded?

Any suggestions are welcome!

Thank you in advance.

This is what TA lists as ';family friendly'; lodging

Not sure of any B %26amp; B%26#39;s that are toddler friendly, someone else may be able to help there.

Maybe Island City House will fit the bill.

I agree, generally B%26amp;B%26#39;s down there are not ';family friendly'; but more for singles or couples looking to make new buddies and drink (nothing wrong with that, but just not good for the little tot).

I%26#39;ve stayed at the Doubletree Grand Key resort twice now and I will continue to stay there. The location I think is perfect especially if you have kids. It%26#39;s away from all the Duval Street action and you can get some good night%26#39;s rest there. The breakfast is OK nothing to die for, but their dinners have certainly left me more than full.

I have a review on the hotel if you%26#39;d like to see it, it gives more details. I just like the distance from Duval Street since at night it gets really LOUD.

Yes I heard you will sleep like a baby at the Doubletree. Sorry had to do it if anyone gets it.

Ohhh Arnie, you%26#39;re bad!

Shhhhhh.

tehehehehehe

Island City House is just what you%26#39;re looking for. Ambrosia (and Ambrosia, Too) used to be great, too, but apparently they%26#39;re both closed for renovations.

I wouldn%26#39;t suggest the Doubletree because the location is lousy - near nothing but the airport.

I have never been bothered by noise in B %26amp; B%26#39;s near Duval. Short of Southern Cross and Old Customs, I don%26#39;t think noise is an issue.

Papa%26#39;s Hideaway might fit the bill. Very small, very quiet. Don%26#39;t know about the 3 y.o., though. Stayed there twice a few years ago. Stopped going there because we wanted someplace less quiet.

You should know that Island City House, which others have suggested, is not exactly small. It is very nice and definitely kid friendly.
