Can anyone please advise me how long it takes to drive from Orlando to Key West (we%26#39;re staying at the Hyatt Beach House Resort).

Also some child friendly restaurants in Key West?

7 to 8 hours generally but this all depends on how many stops you make, traffic (especially in the Keys), and time of year.

Thanks so much for your reply. The kids eat most things and know how to behave in restaurants so good to hear most are child friendly.

Then you won%26#39;t have a problem. Look at Alonzo%26#39;s, Pier at Ocean Key(fun place on the water to watch the boats go in and out of the harbor), and B.O.%26#39;s Fish Wagon ( for something different, good sandwiches) to name a few.

Do you know if the Hyatt Beach House resort and the Hyatt Key West resort and Marina are 2 different hotels?

Yes, they are two different hotels. The one you are staying at is in New Town at the entrance to the island. The other one is in Old Town (historic area). They are about 4 miles apart.

When in October?

You do know that Fantasy Fest is in October. Bringing children during that time will take you out of the running for ';parent of the year';.

Judging by some of her other posts it sounds like she is talking about the first part of Oct.

We%26#39;ll be there for the week from the 8th Oct so definately will still be in the running for ';parent of the year'; haha
