Things to do in PCB?? Golf, amusement parks, boating, drinks

I used to spend a couple weeks every summer in Panama City Beach back in the %26#39;80%26#39;s when my grandparents lived there and i was not even 10 yet. We used to go miniature golfing everyday, i remember there being an amusement park around there, many arcades and nice white sandy beaches. I am assuming the area has changed a bit since i haven%26#39;t been back in almost 20 years...but what is there to do for a married couple, 30 years old that owns a 19%26#39; boat and likes to have fun? I like the beach, but getting my husband to lay out wouldn%26#39;t happen. We both love to golf-are there any good courses there? Is there a place to put your boat in the water? Any good spots to drink a few cold ones or frozen specialties? Any info would help. We are planning on going next summer 2008 and we will be staying in a timeshare right on the beach. Thanks a lot.

amusement park gone....funland arcade still there

19 foot boat will be good for bay, depending on what kind of boat, may be okay for gulf......if rough in gulf, the pass can eat you up before you ever get out into gulf... would not go out into gulf in a pontoon boat....shell island would be a place to go...cove by the jetties, the back side of the island or the old pass....you can launch at the state park, but get there kind of early if you want a place to park your car and trailer......there are other places to launch in town, but would be a farther drive and boat ride to shell island....you could fish the grass flats on the western side of the bay from grand lagoon to west bay or around the pilings at the bridge...if you go into the bay, there is a bar called the no name at the eastern foot of the bridge...local hang out...you may be able to dock at st andrews marina and go to uncle ernies (they may have a dock) or the captains table.....if you go into grand lagoon, be careful for the channel on the around the thomas drive bridge and on the west side of the bridge used to be trickey.....google half hitch tackle for more boating / fishing info

golf...signal hill is pretty wide open and fairly short....have heard pretty good things about hombre on back beach road....marriot bay point has 2 courses...the nicklaus design course there used to be called lagoon legend and it was done by one of the dye%26#39;s and would eat your lunch...not sure about now.....edgewater has an executive or par 3 course but you may have to be a guest to play it....greg norman has a new course somewhere out by phillips inlet, but i forget the name(maybe white heron or heron or something like that) and not sure if public or not...sunny hills is about an hour north around chipley and it used to be a good track....if you have military priviliges, tyndall afb has a course that i have heard is nice

you won%26#39;t recognize the place...most of the mom and pop hotels are gone and most everything now is high rise condo

if you want to, send me a message if you have any more ?s

Purdue, much has changed in PC except for the beautiful beach i agree , you wont recognize things My husband and I are in our early 40%26#39;s with 2 children the youngest almost in college and our all time favorite thing to do is explore in our sea doo all over the bay by St Andrews----when our kids were tiny we had a a boat that we took and the dog too now we are almost ready to buy another seadoo so we will each have one explore the beautiful waters and if your boat is able, venture into the gulf, A great place to dock your boat is off Dolphin drive, off Thomas drive, It%26#39;s free there Shell island is so big you can go a long way down for romantic beach excursions Maybe we willl see ya down there next summer Have fun
