Travel trip report La neuba and animal kingdom

Saturday 5th Aug

Today was another much needed rest day round the pool. We had arranged a surprise for my nieces birthday %26amp; told everyone they needed to be showered %26amp; ready for 4pm. We had hired a stretch limo through Happy Limo鈥檚, who turned up on time at our hotel. We went to Downtown Disney %26amp; had made a reservation for 6.30pm at House of Blues, so wandered around the shops first.

The food was very good at HB. Can鈥檛 remember what we all had but I had the ribs which were great %26amp; the fried sweet potatoes which made a change to fries. As I put on another review of this restaurant, the only problem was how hot it felt in there, as if there was no air-conditioning on.

After this we went into La Neuba at 8.30 in plenty of time for the show at 9pm, as we were told that there is a worthwhile pre-show comedy bit- except I didn鈥檛 realize I was to be that slot! We had great seats (pre-booked 180 days before on release date!) about 8 rows from the front in the centre, right by an aisle, which runs right across the auditorium. Suddenly without realizing, the 2 clowns, who were wheeling a barrow, stopped right next to our group %26amp; started interacting with each other in mime %26amp; then one tapped me on the shoulder %26amp; started to involve me in their little charade! All the house lights were on me for sometime %26amp; I don鈥檛 know which were hotter, the lights or my face! Then one clown started stacking boxes on my lap, higher %26amp; higher till I thought they would fall! My family couldn鈥檛 stop laughing, until they then picked on Mr Lou, pretending to run his hands thru his hair %26amp; pulling a face in horror about his hair gel! It was such a shame that they refuse to let you take any photo鈥檚 as it was a once in a lifetime moment.

The show itself was amazing. The acts, staging, sets %26amp; music all came together to create a very memorable %26amp; mesmorizing experience. It is just so hard to explain this show %26amp; give it full credit- you really need to see it to believe it! Worth every penny!

The limo picked us back up at 11pm %26amp; we would recommend the company to anyone for a reliable service. I t was a very special night I hope everyone will remember for a long time to come.

Sunday 5th Aug

We headed off to Animal Kingdom reasonably early for us %26amp; arrived about 10am. We really enjoyed this park %26amp; it was a first for me as it was not open when I was last in Orlando in 1997.

Highlights for Mr Lou %26amp; the kids were Expedition Everest %26amp; Dinosaur. But the whole family really enjoyed the Kilimanjaro safari, as it was very realistic %26amp; we saw loads of animals %26amp; also the Festival of the Lion King show which was so colourful %26amp; lively %26amp; not to be missed in our opinion.

We were disappointed at the Finding Nemo musical, only because we had very poor seats right at the back %26amp; you could barely see anything. They started queuing for this ridiculously early!

As we walked around the park we were suddenly aware of a vine growing up a lamp post was actually moving %26amp; on closer inspection was a person! It was a lady on stilts with long stilt-like arms %26amp; she moved in slow motion with such elegance %26amp; grace. She was amazing!

We all had a great day%26amp; enjoyed the theming %26amp; lay-out of this park %26amp; thought it had some similarity to Busch Gardens, particularly it鈥檚 more laid-back approach.

Thanks Clare!

I really enjoyed reading this too. It sounds like you all had a fantastic holiday.

I really enjoted reading your trip reports. Thanks for taking the time to post them

So glad to had a good time. We came across Devine (the leaf lady) and she is so elegant. It took a while to realise that it was a person at first. She is usually between Asia and Africa.

we didn%26#39;t notice her at first, we just saw a crowd gathering and so like a true Brit...joined in, but we were unsure for the first min what we were all looking at!! LOL....

The only problem is, Mr Lou has been having fantasies about leaf women ever since....strange man!!
