Need help desparately......





My husband and I have been planning a trip to Disney World for approximately 12 months for 16 people. Celebrating my parents 50th wedding anniversary. We go in April 2007. Planned over many hours - through the ';Grand Gatherings'; service. Which is basically nothing.





Most recent catastrophy involves a reservation we made 180 day before the event. We arrive on a Saturday afternoon in Orlando and made reservations for the lunch at Cinderella%26#39;s castle to celebrate my daughter%26#39;s birthday. We paid for this reservation at the time of booking through credit card. No confirmation was ever sent out but we called to reconfirm this reservation and date several times due to many mess up in our trip by Disney customer service people. Too many to begin to post.





Now when trying to correct other wrongs on our trip - we have been advised that this reservation is for Saturday not Sunday - before we even arrive in Orlando. Disney knew this as they ask for your arrival date/time when you make reservations and they are picking us up at the airport through their new transportation service. When the customer service person realized something was wrong he didn%26#39;t even tell us that day. He called back the next day to break the bad news.





Disney customer service won%26#39;t give their full names, direct phone numbers, ID numbers/names to identify themselves and when you ask to speak with a manager will pass you around several times and still you get no manager. I did get a fax number to send a complaint about our trip that has basically fallen apart. All our special Grand Gatherings have been canceled and now this.





Any suggestions about how to get this to media or print or to get help from someone at Disney that would actually care?

the way you wrote this does look like you want to have lunch on saturday is that correct cause you said you%26#39;ll arrive saturday and made reservation to have lunch in the afternoon correct

Sorry....clarification. We made the reservation for Sunday and confirmed and reconfirmed at the time of reservations and several times afterward. Disney does not send anything in writing to confirm any dinning plans - even when you have paid in full for it.





Again we are not even arriving in Orlando until 1:20 pm Saturday - which Disney reps knew. They messed up our reservation and made it for Saturday at 11:40 - again before we even arrive. Now as only 4 weeks away - there is nothing they can do.





Does anyone know how/who to file a complaint with?




why did you pay ahead of time was it required cause most of the disney dining you pay when you arrive i don%26#39;t understand that try to get it for another day




It is required. You don%26#39;t have a choice - this is most likely most popular event in MK. Books out immediately 180 days before. But in all of Disney wisdom - nothing is ever sent out confirming it. We will basically get a refund but how do I explain to my daugther who was celebrating her 8th birthday at this event - that there is nothing that can be done.
