Itinerary check and questions...

I am planning an Orlando trip with my wife. We are in our late 20s with no children. Please help.

Day 1: Full-day Flight

Day 2: Epcot

Day 3: Animal Kingdom

Day 4: Water Park

Day 5: Outlet, Ripley, I-Drive

Day 6: Drive to Miami, Miami Beach, stay a night at Miami

Day 7: Everglades or Keys, drive back to Orlando for late afternoon flight

Questions:

1. Is it safe to say there won%26#39;t be a lot of people in the theme parks on a weekday in early October?

2. There are some cheap package with tickets outside the resort, does that mean I will need a car for that?

3. Is the outlet in Orlando pretty much the same thing as in SoCal?

Thanks,

Glenn

Itinerary check and questions...

October is a great time to visit the parks as kids are back in school and the holidays have not yet begun. Last year we went the first or second weekend of October last year and there was almost no wait for most rides and the more popular rides like Space Mountain and Rockin Rollercoaster only had 10-15 minute waits.

I can%26#39;t compare the outlet here to those in cal. as I haven%26#39;t been to those in cal. but there are tons of outlets in Orlando. Just watch the prices, sometimes you aren%26#39;t always getting a deal.

I personally would not drive all the way down to Miami just to stay overnight. That is a 3-4 hour drive one way and then you say day 7 the keys, that will be another 4 hours or so futher from Miami. So on that last day that would mean you would have to drive about 7-8 hours just to get back to Orlando for your flight.

There are plenty of nice beaches that are closer if that is why you are going down there. Check out St Petersburg or Sarasota for nice beaches.

I%26#39;d imagine the cheap package with tickets means you%26#39;ll need to sit through a time share presentation to get the tickets. People in the UK or Trooper will probably know how to get around with local transport if you tell them where you%26#39;ll be located.

Thanks! What%26#39;s the difference between the two water parks? Which one should I go to?

Glenn

Please remember that the drive from the Keys to Orlando is about 7-8 hours. Depending on what time your flight is, you really would not have time to visit and get back to orlando for a flight.

I haven%26#39;t been to either of the Disney water parks but I think that the general consensus is that if you like the thrill rides then Blizzard Beach is better.

Which water park? There are 3 - the Disney ones are Blizzard Beach and Typhoon Lagoon; the other is Wet %26#39;n%26#39; Wild.

Type in ';typhoon Lagoon'; in the search box - there are several topics covering the differences between BB and TL.

I%26#39;d cut day 6 and 7 out, and stay in Orlando - you%26#39;ll not want to drive 8 hours before a flight. Plus, if it%26#39;s late afternoon (say around 5pm) you%26#39;ll need to check in for about 3pm, 7 hours driving - you%26#39;d have to LEAVE Miami at 3am to get to the Keys for 7am, so you%26#39;d only have an hour until you%26#39;d have to drive back again!! Stay in Orlando - there are so many outlets and malls to see!
