Hi all,

Just finalising our trip and keep coming back to this hotel for accomodation. Going over christmas for a few days and are mainly going to Universal so position wise it seems good - anyone stayed here?

Best Western Movieland

Hi Juls,

We have just booked our fourth trip to Orlando in three years, and we are mad about it! Our first trip we stayed at Best western International Plaza and every other trip we have stayed at the Best western movieland, and we will be staying there again in January 08. It is lovely and clean and has just been refurbished!! You will have a ball, and a great place to lay your sleepy head!!!

Have a great time.

stayed there about 2-3 years ago,and it was a nightmare, the staff was rude (apart for the girl in the small shop)the manager/or owner wanted to start a fight with one of the guests.we phoned for a tv guide from the room and after about 2 hours someone came up to fix the bathroom! i wouldnt recomend anyone staying there, unless its under new managment.

Hi Juls101

I stayed at the best western movieland in March 2007.This is a very good hotel and is in a great location. The hotel provides a shuttel to Universal but if you dont want to use the shuttle a cab is $4-5. When I return to Orlando I will stay at this hotel again.

we stayed here last september really nice clean hotel friendly staff would recommend also opposite wet n wild and sizzlers yummee

Bout time it was refurbed....stayed their 2 years ago and it was a dump. no other word could describe it. Nice to see it has improved.

Personally i would stay at the Hilton garden inn just down the road in American way..... far better hotel by miles. Although probably more pricey at $99 per night. But by UK prices it%26#39;s cheap

Hi Juls

Stayed there for the first 3wks of Jan - found it clean and convenient - staff were friendly - good location - can walk to Universal in 20mins - suited me fine - its just a place to get your head down and a place to shower etc. You may or may not be aware that there is a resort fee per day, payable at the end of your stay - i cant say how much it is now but in Jan it was $2.50 per day - that was having booked through Virgin, although it applies to the room and not the travel agent, so i guess you stay, you pay!.

Fine as a base though.

All The Best

Thanks for your opinions and tips!

Would have liked to have gone a bit more %26#39;up market%26#39; but very limited funds and from what the majority of you have said I think its a good choice.

Only 121 days til we go!

Juls
